WHO Warns of Near Doubling of Cancer Diagnoses by 2050
The World Health Organization warns that without intervention, 35 million new cancer patients are expected annually by 2050. This increase is attributed to deficiencies in prevention, smoking, alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity, and obesity.
