Zlín shortens breast cancer screening wait times, removes referral requirement

The city of Zlín in the Czech Republic has shortened waiting times for mammographic screenings for breast cancer. From mid-year, a referral from a gynecologist or general practitioner will no longer be required.

Návštěva mamografického screeningu bude od poloviny letošního roku možná i bez žádanky gynekologa nebo praktického lékaře. Na rozvolnění pravidel se dohodla Všeobecná zdravotní pojišťovna s ministerstvem zdravotnictví.
