Six people were injured in a traffic accident involving a truck and a minibus on Castle Peak Road near Yuen Long in Hong Kong.

Nine bodies, including three guides and a group of six friends, were recovered from an avalanche on Castle Peak in the Sierra Nevada mountains, where they were on a three-day ski tour.

The Castle Peak region in Northern California is highlighted as a popular spot for backcountry enthusiasts.
