Scientists warn nanoplastics penetrate lung protective layers, cannot be expelled
Scientists from the Czech Academy of Sciences have discovered that nanoplastics are disrupting the natural protective layer of the lungs. Using a special microscope, they observed how these particles penetrate lung alveoli, warning there is currently no way to expel them.
