Human Rights Watch Urges US Congress to Block Cluster Munition Export to Ukraine

Human Rights Watch (HRW) has called on the US Congress to prevent the planned export of a large shipment of cluster munitions from Turkey to Ukraine, arguing that these weapons are not precise enough to avoid civilian casualties.

Organizace Human Rights Watch (HRW) vyzvala americký Kongres, aby zablokoval plánovaný export velké zásilky munice z Turecka na Ukrajinu. Argumentuje tím, že jde o takzvanou kazetovou munici, která není dostatečně přesná, aby eliminovala zasažení civilistů, a nevybuchlá munice zůstává na místě i dlouho po válce. Pro Ukrajinu je ale kazetová munice klíčová pro obranu před ruskou agresí.
